Pencil to PixelOctober 15, 2010 - February 11, 2011
Guest curator Andrew Lyndon, Chair of the Animation Department at California College of the Arts, explores the amazing world of contemporary animation.

Terminal 1
Features four Bay Area animation studios - Dreamworks, Industrial Light and Magic, Pixar Animation Studios, and Tippett Studio.

Connecting Walkway
This section of Pencil to Pixel  examines the unique process Pixar uses to create
its animated films. Audiences will follow the evolution of a single character,
Lotso from Toy Story 3.

Terminal 2
Featuring six hand made zoetropes with original artworks by Pixar staff. Conceived as a special project for the airport audience, director, Pete Docter and animators Don Crum, Angus MacLane, Austin Madison, Cat Hicks, and Kevin O’Hara contributed drawings.

Pencil to Pixel coincides with the larger exhibition, PIXAR: 25 Years of Animation at the Oakland Museum of California, through January 9, 2011.
