The Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit) provides bus service to and from Oakland International Airport (OAK) via the 50 and 805 lines.

Line 50 connects OAK with the Coliseum/Oakland Airport BART station every 15 minutes between 5:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m., and every 30 minutes between 8:30 p.m. and midnight (one-way travel time is approximately 15 minutes). Line 805 is the late-night service that connects OAK with the Coliseum/Oakland Airport BART station and downtown Oakland every hour between 12:35 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. For a complete Line 805 schedule, click here.

In addition to its airport service, AC Transit, the third-largest public bus system in California, operates in 13 cities and adjacent unincorporated areas in Alameda and Contra Costa counties, offering 78 local lines and 27 Transbay lines to San Francisco and the Peninsula. AC Transit buses connect with nine other public and private bus systems, 21 BART stations, six Amtrak stations, and three ferry terminals.

Local bus fare is $1.75 for adults, $0.85 for youth (ages 5-17) and $0.85 for seniors (ages 65+) and the disabled. Children under age 5 are free. Transfers to other AC Transit buses is an additional $0.25 and must be purchased upon boarding the first bus. Transfers between AC Transit and the BART system are also available for an additional $1.50 when purchased inside the BART stations.
